nope it does not it would mean the target will be displayed in wrong position and if u going to shot him u will definitely miss, but that does not happen, when u put negative nudge the prediction is not applied as that much, and when u put much negative timenudge u actually see that the move of target is not smooth because the prediction of position is missing there, witch is indicated on lagometer as yellow triangles. More negative nudge u will apply biger indication u will see, u can actually make a observation of this yourself; in the situation where u claim negative nudge apply more prediction the position of targets going to be corrected each time a snapshot arrive, so the moving enemies would be dragged back each snapshot, that would expain the unsmooth movement, but at first think that the prediction is there to smooth the targets and then it makes no sense in that behevior because if each snapshot would be interpolated ahead this would still give smoothy look of targets. Also if u will look at enemies u will see that they aren't draged back, but what actually happens is that they move one direction with breaks so using pure logic wihout any dev knowledge gives quite accurate picture of what i alredy quoted in first post.
If we talking about server side prediction i will try to speak to yours healthy logic. In unlagged what we use in e+ it is the server who determinate u miss or hit regardless of client side prediction. Ask yourself what is easier to hit in; 1ms timeframe or 33ms timeframe, i think its obvious... Since server works with 30fps then u shot to targets that position are predicted because if u would trying to hit 1ms then u would miss all the time... Of course more information u send to the server about yours position more accurate this prediction will be. And here we come with the nudge, if a server prediction vary from client prediction the only way to adjust those differences is to use timenudge, many ppl claims it makes ppl lag but in fact it helps to correct client side prediction to look more like server side prediction witch at the end decides about accuracy.
And i do not ask u guys to trust on my words, u can all test what i am saying yourself! U will quickly convince yourself that nudge actually gives huge benefits against laggy opponents and prediction errors.
