I didn't have the heart to read the whole thread so don't complain when i write smth similar to others I usually play with my normal nick (no clan atm), sometimes I add @mp3 or @badday. I add the at mp3 part because I really rely on sound when playing and playing with music on doesn't make my performance better. Usually when I suck I just reconnect and start playing over And about the @smth and fakenicking business: When somebody wants to get into a clan (like me ), he really cares about his performance especially when there are some clanleaders around. Some cls just look at your scores at the end of a map and say "wanna join xxx". That's not the best way of choosing but still, some do that
btw sometimes I really play like crap, and sometimes you can see a grain of pwnage in my gameplay . I would prefer to be known as a person who plays good
Lookin at freeze scores might not a a good way, but even I look at other ppls scores and think "xx is good, while yy is bad" (sometimes of course " xx usually is good but today he plays like crap"). And the good players have good scores in team games as well (saying that in reference to the opinion that 1on1 measures some1's skill best).

bit chaotic, but pretty much what i wanted to say

I read enough to get the jist of the thread. Using an alias is fine by me. What I really don't understand is the need to put the @ with the name. I can sort-of understand the @warmup thing, but what I am really referring to is the @mp3, @reallysodrunkicanpuke--etc. Do we really care if you are listening to music or are drunk. Why not just use an alias? Why this need to announce that you are drunk or listening to music? If this is the case you can just type in console. "Hey guys, I am really drunk!" I know all the @ signs are supposed to be if you suck that particular day for one reason or another. If you suck that day, you suck that is all there is too it.
