Excessiveplus Mapping Project !
Yeah, I put this gothic block-texture on everything except the roof where I put the orange sky.
Btw, here's a demo, but it show that quake icon!
When I demoed, I was in the map and floor was black, walls and skies were white.
i never see this topic. nice work here
i post the 2Sweet map here too.
w00t n1!!
rofl "all hail queen leukothea"
so does that mean you would also like to make a map with the team?
@aluminium lol that remembers me of that entertainment park from carmageddon 2...whatever
so for the size of the 1. map, I think we should choose something similar to dm5/dm2 just to see how it works with a team

I think so too
Yay, problem solved! But I have another problem.
When I shall make an endcap or a bevel with these inverted-things or what to call them, they won't show up in-game and when you're building it!
You have to see it in a specific angle and that's really annoying, how do I get rid of that?
@lakitu I'm still a noob, but I think you can't really change that, you just need to know from which direction u can see it..
alrighty, I have an idea about the first group map, everyone who wants to participate: just make a small room (I would say about 1024x1024 as ground floor) and let at least 1 side open for a door/tunnel; and think about if you would like a tunnel or a direct connection to the next room (u can make an additional teleporter ofc)
so if we'd have 3-4 small rooms in the end, we can think about a bigger "centerroom" and then we just connect the other rooms around it.
so just make a simple room, no need for a great idea, just start

So I can't really do something about it? I hope it will show up when playing it. (public)
"Hangar" taken from DOOM(1)
and a D3-Style-Version with different paths...
!!!FUN*FUN*FUN!!!
These Tutorials i always use when i have a question>>>
http://files.filefront.com/Radiant+Tutorialszip/;8013211;;/fileinfo.html
common guys.
lets begin the part1 : each one in the mapping team should make a room of his choice.
- There is no criteria on size(X, Y , Z).
- There is no criteria on environement(open sky, has door, jumpers...)
- Just place some respawn points.
- Add some lights
- Don't add any object.
- Don't use any other texture than the ones in the pk3 attached file( they are only normal colors in the pk3 taken from xp_mappack for this purpose )
After finishing all this step, we start the part 2 : each one could try to mix up all the rooms, and like making a puzzle, will stick them with some brushes like coridors stairs...
Anyway, only one version that seems better for us all will be taken.
The final textures will be added in the 3rd part...
for the pk3, just place it in baseq3, and to use the textures in radiant, u will find them in xp/xp_colors
