use spybot s&d! if the most problems were deleted after running the scan and delete the probs, u don't need to reinstall the pc!
mainly it should help to let it scan!

if that doesn't help it's senseless to let another anti spyware programm search. better reinstall the system then!
but make a backup of your data first

Some tips:

- use norton ghost for DOS (u can find it on hirens boot cd utilities,very highly recommended download)

- reformat,install all drivers and before u install any software make a copy of your system partition with ghost (ghost image) and save it somewhere (other partition then system).This way u can easily backup your clean install after fucking something up in just 10-15 minutes without the need for formatting.

- if u dont wanna format,use the anti spyware and antivirus programs in safe mode.Those files that cannot be deleted by the prog itself,write down their location,use an old win98 startup disk (can be found and downloaded from the net) and delete them from DOS mode

Yes, I don't use any antivirus programs for months now but before that I used NOD32 all the time and it was (and still is) great.

I visit only safe pages so my PC stays clean, but, when I require some crack or cd key - sometimes that takes me to "evil" pages that try to infect my or any visiting PC's but now I use add on from Firefox called "NoScript" - that blockes all scripts untill I allow them that they can be executed OR U can just disable scritpts (Java & Javascript) in browser options like some people do.

Another thing why U should clean whole C drive - if your PC has so many trojans, worms and viruses, often 1-2 programs CAN'T clean it all (altho U might think its clean) - they just dont "see" some of them...so why take the chance....reinstall it all and protect your PC properly this time.

formating is best option an u know its 100% safe.
having trojans on ur system will usally open doors for other virus's an hackers to get in. an even you use virus scanner to remove them all. theres still a chance some are there undetected.
