spot on what i think, camping is tactical to a certain extent on ctf and maybe freeze, but on ffa or tdm its silly, except what i said in a earlier post, hanging around for exampl the acid pool, isnt camping, it takes skill to stay there, i personally could not do it, where as someone like zoomer or harding could kick asss there, its very hard to do as people know where you are and will seek revenge

i think what bo said in his first (very long) reply was probably the best explanation of what i feel.

even though, some maps i instincly have spots i place myself on. aspecially one.

neither the less, i think its very hard to define camp. and reading this thread has confimed that.

i have come to the conclusion that what defines camp in diffrent mods is the gamespeed of the mod in general ...

take Counter-Strike which is a commonly used mod to compare with. most ppl know what camping in cs means ... sitting behind a box or w/e, waiting out other players to walk by. very slow, and cs is very slow comparing with E+.

then take E+, which gameplay has its very foundation on speed and fast frags. camping in e+ very common.

but to take this to its the bottom ^^

whats is camping ? well, in general its when the gamplay gets ruined by cowards (or ?), so camping varies imo, if two players who are so-called "campers" meet, then the match will get intense in its own way.

anyways, what i wanted to say is that camping is boring, but what is camping ? ... ppl can get pissed cause you simply are better then they are ... and call you a camper.

and for the matter if this mod is a camper mod, compared to other games, no.

compared to other q3 mods, well yes. there are bigger q3 camper mods, but e+ ends up in the middle of the list, which is wierd since its made for the most action. why is that you think ?

I think I have been called a camper now many times (especially by trouble) ...and i dont get it
Can some of u give me a precise deffinition of camping...
i bet u could do that. But i also think it would be different from person to person. I dont really care about other ppl's oppinion about camping as long as camp penalty is on. That camp penalty doesn't work is another case, but as long as it is on that's the games deffinition of camping and thats what I and every other "camping" player follows. If the game allows u to pick up quad u can do it and u shouldn't be flamed for it, except if other rules are agreed upon before match.
The point here is that what rules should we follow when playing, should we follow trouble's rules or the rules in the game ??
I think it should be the rules of the game that we should follow and not some persons personal preference.

If some1 can get a demo of me on CTF1 I am 2x as fast and thats with the railgun. I am so fast no1 has beet me at ctf1 :twisted: but I need some1 to record it cause when I try it laggs like hell. Cause I can get 3 caps in under 60 seconds
