How do you feel about spawncamping? Sitting dodge behind a spawn with wall on your back holding firebutton down constantly with railgun?

It follow game rules, sure anti-camp will get him but he can just move a couple feet and get back.

IMO in sports (and I consider fps online gaming a precision sport) you have to factor in sportsmanship. In a friendly game, where I think we can put all fights that are non league fights, you play for fun.. well atleast I do. Mats Wilander won the .. umm, I dont know which damned OPEN it was in tennis, but he refused to take the point because he meant that the opponents ball was IN while the judge said it was OUT. Mats still won the game anyway but now he knows he won it by his SKILL. Sure, the rules says that the referee's decision is what matters and he coulda followed the rules and won, but he wouldnt be satisfied with the outcome, now THAT is sportsmanship, not many elite athletes would do that.

When you play for fun, and you have a full server, sure, go for the quad but when there is 3 players on the server and the game is very tight would you really take the quad to tilt it to your advantage if the other 2 players have either left the quad alone totally or used railonly or /kill'ed when they got it? I mean if you suck and are 20 frags behind I dont even think that anyone would care if you took the quad, you wont ruin the game, but if it is tight, then I think its lame. If all 3 of you take it then fine but I would be the first to flame someone who breaks the "unwritten" rules of a game.

Same with camping, it is not forbidden in the rules, it used to be forbidden in the rules of BRO servers but its taken away. But it is an "unwritten" rule that I think have to do with sportsmanship and the fact that we play for fun, and sure, by camping you might have fun but you kinda ruin the fun for others. Cheaters probably have fun when they cheat too, the problem is that they too ruin the game for others.

And on 1v1 servers all powerups should be disabled imo.

is it a "crime" bad enough to kick someone ? if they get a warning at first ...

if you think so ill discuss it with the BRO admins, but you all have to give your input, in that case it will ofcourse only concern the BRO servers and it will only be judged by BRO admins, but imo since they are "community servers" your input is important and then we will discuss it.

i see what you mean about the quad damage bo, but if its in a certain players tasctics what is the quad there for? to look pretty? fact of the matter is, if you know someone as good as unplayer is sticking to an area with quad, dont step foot near that area, he will more than likely frag anyone near, thats why you either go wtih the rail and hope to get a shot in or stay away, at the end of the day if no one goes to him he must go to you.

if the quad wasnt meant to be used it wouldnt be in the game.

when i was a kid 12 or13 i loved to camp we would have some one older get us some beer and get a bomb Fire go-ing and get drunk...the good old days three beers and u where dunk,,,love that time of my life...but in Q3 camping makes the game slow i have tried it...but some people live to camp,,,allways the same people and they never get better.....the frist half of the day i suck at quake the second half is better ..Y?

In that case we should definately arrange a Duel between Skin Peeler and Urban Knight. Maybe increase the timelimit to..let's say..2 hours

IMO the main reason for camping is the powerful weapons, especially the instagib-rail. Beeing able to be fragged with only one shot makes you want to be more careful, which unfortunately often can lead to camping. I have no idea how much camping is spread in other mods like OSP, but i can imagine it's pretty worthless, since you usually need more than one shot to frag your opponent.
