Since few months we can see cfgs on wich rail does not kill always instantly (some railonly cfg, plusN sometimes, and maybe other wich I don’t know). Since I have seen it for the first time (October 2009) I have heard : « config are made in such a way that you can play as you like (discussion was between plusN / plusC) », « in plusN you can switch powerup and armor ON/OFF » or : « comunity is divided in two egal parts, we can’t choose between instarail or not insta so we keep the two possibilities ».

Infact, nowadays decision was taken (by noone) since we always play plusN cfg with mnc’s clanwar stuff (with armor system) in official games. Furthermore, new plusN 2.23 release has in option RailKillInstantly or not.

IMO it must be discuss again and I think a vote is the best way to know e+ opinion and definitly close the debate (at least in my mind Tongue ), of course this implies we will consider and respect the outcome.

I’ve found 2 threads who can help you (or not ) to make up your mind if you do not already have your idea on this topic, or if you even do not know what am I talking about :

Even anyone has his own preferences, but i can speak for F2B regarding to clanwars "We don't care".

Personally i can say for me, i don't care, but i prefere PlusN with Armor (not available currently in public).

All in all you need more overallskill for this kind of playing.

Nevertheless, i can still say "I DONT CARE".

KEEP IN MIND, there is already a thread like this.

OH, and this thread will definitly NOT solve the problem, it will make the problem stronger.

Voted first. My pov:

The instantkill thing is what made this mod fun, the armorpickup slows
it all down and makes it campier. I don't have a problem with it in CW's
since that is always a bit more tactical but other clans used to throw a
hizzy fit so we played without it mostly, on public however i was
against it since one team would always have a huge advantage (if they
had 2 pickers they would win no matter what, you pick you lose since
teammates die, you don't pick you die since they have 2 armored guys)
and it was more or less a watered down/worse version of baseq3 or QL if
you want. Especially since LG etc is not that overpowered compared to
rail. If so make it a complete transition to baseq3 gameplay and not
something in-between.

actualy i do care BUT its dependable on the config .. so didnt knew what to chose :

for me its dependable on the config side.. like this:

if the config is railonly then i preffer having rail being INSTA

if the config is all weapons then i preffer having rail being NOT INSTA (but then i preffer not having powerups added or the respawn time of everything to be much bigger then it is now like 2x or 2.5x )

thats how i like them to be ... but! if they arent like that then ill just try to train more on what we have... "cause thats the way the cookie crumbles" Happy

i think that e+ 2.0 is diff then e+ 1.03 so trying to bring 1.03 feeling back it's just not possible. you probably would say i'm a whiner or not but you know i'm right Happy And I dont see this as bad!

i am 60% for INSTA and 40% for NOT INSTA with an error of +/- 10 % ( the gap is to small to chose i want INSTA)

i can accept any changes if my motivation remain the same Happy

I, as kinda one of the best railers in this mod dont have to care, either option keeps me very strong.
but there are some people being immortal now due to armor camping, also new players do not stand a chance - thats why i managed to play vs heart 47-0, armor and health. this hasnt been possible in past.

all in all, the config nowadays has a weird rythm, either u fight at high speed when people roughly can aim u good, or u play campy at low speed.
i prefer the old stickynade and rocketlauncher system of 1.02b Sad

in public should be insta kill and CW should be with armor - health system but both fit me and i dont realy care what solution comes out

tbh, i dont rly care, since both options fits for me perfectly Happy but i prefer collecting armors and healths Smug its hmm... more fun?

I voted for not insta, but imo protection has to be both easy to calculate and hard/rare to achieve. I like battlesuit on Bloody's server for example.
