Can't say that i did, not really my genre. Well, it's nice to listen to some moody blues when i'm on a date with my gf in a restaurant or something, but at home, i prefer the omg-you-punk-turn-that-music-down-or-i'll-call-the-cops-bla-bla kind of music, if you catch my drift
nights in white satin.... aaw
i used to like those sick things you listen now.
somekinda teenage phase
Emperor are very melodic, Keres. Their first album had the most extended forays into dissonance of any of their works, and they gravitated towards consonance and melodic content from there on out. It probably was a "teenage" thing.
However. If you're not quite ready for all that kind of stuff, you know what you should check out is anything by Azure Ray. "Displaced" and "Safe and Sound" have memorable guitar lines that carry each piece through... these girls haunt me musically and lyrically.
The girls in Azure Ray also have solo projects: Maria Taylor and Orenda Fink. Musically speaking they're both much weirder than you might think if you knew Azure Ray first... but if you REALLY know Azure Ray none of it's a shock.
Great Orenda Fink song to check out: "Bloodline".
You should. I have all their albums / solo albums, I'm fckng obssessed.
