Future Clan Ranking - discusion !

yeah having the 3 systems might be good idea to see how things work
then once everyone has tested an his happy with one system we stay with it.

but can rena can handle all this work?

rena doesnt have to handle it. i will run my system, and give him results, later im gona make an aplication that will automaticaly read results and process them. so no work at all almost. Happy

im sure bodz can process his. Happy

Sure I can. Big grin I am animal from Muppet Show. :twisted: I can do it any system in "no time". For example, colecting data in 2006 use most of time, about 1 hour. Relation database design and SQL use about half of hour. Happy

sure i can help, but idon't think i have much too explain now, all was in my post. We won't reset points each season like for a league, we will keep points and start it from 2006 ? Sorry to much work to start from older (for me at least Tongue )

If no clan abuse to play like 5 or 6 time against a same clan to not play others then we may not have to give sanctions so there won't be the prob with the rule about 2 match max against same clan each year that ppl don't really liked

Here i remind the rules i proposed

2)SCORE/RULES

    clans with same points or ( < or = 6 points difference) :

    -winner 3 points, looser - 1

    clans with more than 6 points difference :

    - if logical win (better ranked clan win other clan) :winner 2 points looser -1
    - if not logical win (other clan win better ranked clan :winner 4 points looser - 2

    clans with more or = 12 points difference :

    - if logical win : winner 1 looser 0
    - if not logical win : winner 5 looser - 3

If hq can make a program to put a good % difference counting between clan instead of this points counting i made (<6>6, >12), i'm waiting for an answer about it.

So new rank starting the 1st january 2006 is :

KO(24), Hyper(17), DRT(15), HK(14), 2sweet(12), DS(12), OOC, (11) LEMON(11), KTM(10), BBS, DA, LIME, WASO, DEVA

It shows ACTIVITY and clan SKILL

New clan like 2sweet win lot of points wining drt and ko
DS and KTM won lot of point by owning most of their opponents
HK get a few lost in 2006 over many wars played etc etc

For some who says why drt is only 3rd and not hyper : drt lost 3 points against 2sweet, hyper played more wars and lost against a good ranked clan only

For me i think it's a very good idea of actual community and you can see that KO is reachable by every good clans in not too much wars played

Sory If I repost sth but I didnt bother to read whole thread. Anyway I have one sugestion. As a few ppl noticed that its quite stupid that clans wich exist longer than others will always lead the table I wantend to propose sth.

Why dont use efficiency system. I mean to count a percent beetwen wins and losts so for example 10 wins and 0 losts = 100% same goes for 1230 wins and 0 losts. Another example 5 wins 5 losts is eff = 50% and so on.

It would solve the problem of old and new clans as the main factor would be ratio. Also the old games are not discarded in this way. However this idea has one major flaw. For example if a team plays just one match and it winds it gets automatically 100%. Anyway this can be passed by with not including clans that played less cw than 5 for example.

Seems quite fair.

This system doesn't show the clan skill and neither activity, cauz then you count a match against a team like KO or HYPER as same as a match against every other teams.
There is hard match against best clans, and easier match against others. About old clans getting a little advange it's fair for me compared to new ones who have to do their proofs.

You can see for example that new clan like 2sweet went faster in the top 5 by owning good clan, and that the 2nd place really depends against who hyper, drt and hk will play their next wars to get more points.

Maybe foksie and me should post again the systems we proposed so that ppl can read it without falling in the discuss we had about it and keep proposing differents systems Happy

I dont agree as this system has a lot of holes that can be used to level up. Take for example 2 teams playing rank clanwar against eachother every second day.

Also I dont believe in giving advantages to older clans. League system works great in league - but in a ranking more important should be death/kill ratio. Of korz its easier to win against some clans than others to level up closer to 100% but here comes the role of clanleader to challange a clan that is coming close to his team score and in this way degregade it.
