Well, because the version he came up with was shittier than E-dawn. He single-handed killed the ED project, and he only came back out of the shadows BECAUSE of the project, that came into existence BECAUSE he was in the shadows. Maybe your memory is going but I remember very vividly all the talks on the forums about making a community-driven fork to fix-up E+ and make it it's own thing. Boom, there goes Foksie, Trance and Cyrax cooking up an alternative. And boom, then came Easy, out of fucking nowhere, after years of silence, with 1.04. That split the community, many people left. Then he changed the wonderful old site into this bland, grey shitshow. And here we are now

I mean, damn, what got you so agitated about what I said? It's what happened, not exactly revising history here. BTW, I never was much good at E+, sure (Shady was a fair bit better) but I did enjoy it, tho there were some legit good players in aNk/xXx (hope you're about to start shit-talking about Torz's, Zack's or Trance's etc skills too).

Also, as a post scriptum, there was a whole LOT of shit going on backstage to which you may or may not have been privy to (we never talked much, so I wouldn't know. If you were, I'm honestly shocked you made that post). It's never as straight as it seems.

Ok guys, time and life permitting, I can try to plan some stuff. But I need to be addressed to the right people over here. Easy is the only person who has all the sources and material for development? I need some more "terms"/hints for my research. This will be all focused on the game/mod/e+, not the cheater obsession. We can also base a group if anyone wants to give support, continuous or not, it doesn't matter. No deadlines.

Last part sums it up, more or less. Lots of scheming and backstabbing, typical stuff. People being petty and people too full of misplaced pride to compromise. Details are meaningless and trivial at this point, I think. It's history, and it's not my place to share private convos of people long gone from here.

Just for clarification - I, personally, was never hurt by Easy in any direct way. Just the way the whole E-Dawn thing panned out stung a lot. To be honest, it kind of still does, juuuust a tiny bit. I shouldn't care by this point, but I guess E+ was such a big part of my life for so long it's hard to fully let go. Eh.

In the end, If you want to believe Easy never did anything wrong, and there's nothing to blame him for - by all means. There never was right or wrong, just sides and a barricade. I was on one side, I'm heavily biased, and I think he's an asshole for what he did. Pretty much it.

Oh yeah, just realized I may have missed an important thing about our exchange - after Easy came back, there was no point for branching off, I fully agree with you on that. And, believe it or not, I pushed very strongly for the E-dawn team to extend an olive branch, try to cooperate with Easy (and the other guy, I'm fairly certain there was someone else that did some coding, but I forget his name).

That... didn't go too well. From either side. But, you know that much.

Anyway, no, most of my issue with Easy is with him coming back in the first place, as soon as the community decided to pick up the slack. Delivering an inferior product, to boot. But, he was THE Easy, one of the original three E+ devs. An almost literal god. Of course people would rally behind him. And, of course, he knew that. He could have scribbled a squiggly shape with a shit-stained stick on a piece of paper and a lot of people here, back then, would call it a work of art.

I guess letting go of that kind of power was too much for him.

Oh yeah dude, I agree, I did and said a lot of things I'm not exactly proud of, back in the day. I got caught up in a certain brainwave and just rolled with it. And, to be perfectly frank, acting like a dick was very gratifying.

I'd apologize, but at this point it would just be empty words. I mean, who's left to apologize to? We never interacted much, and I don't think I've ever abused you in a meaningful way (feel free to correct me on this. From my recollections, I always held you in fairly respectable esteem, even if we disagreed on things. I probably did talk shit about you on IRC at least a couple of times, tho ). Other people are just.. gone, or I don't care enough about. And the newer folk won't know who I am and are probably wondering what the fuck are we talking about. So yeah.

Also, and this will sound harsher than I intend it, I do have more pressing concerns in my life than worrying I hurt someone's feelings on a forum a whole lot of years ago. Like I said, not proud of it, but what's done is done, and we move on. That's life, right? What can you do.

As for me I was afk in the last 2 years so much also but nowaweeks I turned back to home to Hun, so will roll it into new chapter and hope it will turn back as the good fun like its should become..!

Yea, this actual version isn't that precisely good and smooth gameplay, can't even use in my cfg any further the vertical sync with 120Hz made the control perfect for me but now, and since 2.2 its just becomed so unstable and sometimes randomly loading-in the enemymodels body (the same issues you guys also mentioned in this and prev topics) and the sounds also freakingly not exact implemented in way to clearly recognize the enemy positions..

Ok the joyment of the game can produce and the gameplay we give, dropped a "bit" (stimes more stimes less..) but still up for it and you can find the good settings if you fine tune ur cfg again.
As for whether choosing, further coding the mod or "simply" remove AWH system will come back to minds and discussion, we have to agree in ideas, just like it worked before and that way I believe we can turn back this era for up again aka many players will come back to Q3 e+ (more plus servers than railonly!).
