For that you need some popular server support, but no they prefer to keep things as they want to have ppl. = they don't help mappers

Delete my posts all you want, it won't change the fact that the only reason your maps aren't put into rotation on popular servers, is that they're simply not good enough. Being angry at me for stating simple facts won't change those facts.

problem isnt good or bad map. U can find 1000x good maps over internet with nice textures, shaders etc, but they will never be played on servers like beer and aim just because of sux concept. Thats why suggested to make community map. U like it - fine. U dont like it - draw own concept and post on forum and we can discuss it

the easiest maps you can introduce are symetric, they are due to math always 100% fair balanced. however those aint interesting.

 Even if yr map wins there's 99% chance yr map wont be played and no chance it will be uploaded on beer or aim servers.

Just looked at existing maps made here and what can i tell is that they noway suits for e+, including mine ones. If some ppl commenting that map is nice and good work etc... It doesnt mean community likes it. Just majority clever enought to not post shit comments about it.

Anyway lets see how many of players really needs new maps. Will see how many comments and drawings come. Atm iam thinking only few ppl need maps

Unfortunately its true, however im not really thinking that this mod need new maps made by random people like me. apart from some E+ officals maps too be able to stamp more of a brand. These should be done in the same style, like a brand and released as a map pack. to start out we should ask what bits of map do people like in a new topic, with screenshots. instead of asking why people like this map (example: becuz its fast) which doesnt help most people really understand how maps work. then in the same topic get people to or atleast the ones which care Tongue to draw out areas for maps which they would like to see (with notes etc "big crusher here").

i understand most people like what they are already used to. soo assets such as maps, community art, game configs should be developed over along time with the community. this is where it lacks normally the mapper makes a map and releases it into the beyond and no one plays it. if its a crap map fair dues. however any map can be a sucess as long as the mapper is pointed in the right direction as he develops. even if it not related to his map but what areas of maps people most enjoy in anymap.

any enuff bout maps Tongue i think, some community art would be great. or is you lot lazy haha i know most people wont care but try aways eh?

New idea to help the above situation :

A type of forum pages thats needed would be one where only the creator can see posts made by other people and them people can only see their posts and the creators this would help get people posting without fear of scrutiny.

these are very easy to make but are boring... very boring. i think its original cool map features that draw the casual players eye. like i think sander posted above.

also after a while i will make a concepts thread for people to get thier ideas across or take apart mappers ideas and stick em back together. ;)

If we count on community to test, project will stay years and die.
So my opinion is make a mappack without hoping a feedback and on the end send whole mappack and start test phase.

the community can test if they want, however its more about finding a way to criticize maps. someone should atleast start a thread for the purpose of either finding out what parts of bits of maps people like the most and if there are any ideas people have. instead of relying on people to come out and set it up them selves.

If the community wont help atleast setup an area mappers can post screenshots and talk about there ideas. (private forum maybe on a diffarent site with a link from map+ team page) not just for map+ team but anyone who has a ongoing project this should be a separated part of the site and does not appear in the active threads area at the top(so not exposed to the random peoples out their.  

or maybe does Map+ have a forum? does it get used?

An area is needed for private suggestions, so they dont get blow down by the majority of which seem to have no hope. as its ironic having a thread like this if noone does anything or it too nervous about sharing their ideas. ways need to be found. Tongue Winking

an unbalanced map is unbalanced,
coz it includes (camp)points, that cause an unfair situation:
1 player/team will be leading very quickly,
but the opponent/s have less chances to change that.-
this is different in balanced maps:
if both players/teams are in the same mirrored section,
their chances are equal (often cause of same camped items)!-
Just think about ctf-maps!!!

Most unbalanced maps are based on the principle of
1 hunter and 1 haunted ...
they even rein-/force this unfair situation
by placin powerful items at campPoints!

PS: dm17 is totally balanced, but i dont like it nevertheless.
