glad that this topic has reached to a result,and this is the most important thing.Being constructive in these kind of threads is very important to make your message heard by those who run servers and work on configs.

Since this is a general forum , where we discuss topics that concern the majority of players , and the life of our community , rational thinking and clear ,concise and Polite discussions can be the best way to reach results , when needed.

hmm i played with the na config for a while with bots...didnt seem so bad...have to try with other people....

@flex...err people need to make their own mistakes to learn....ive found out for myself that i learn the best by making gargantuan mistakes....but that doesnt mean i dont listen to folks who've been around for a while..but ive also found for myself that people who've been around tend to loose perspective about a lot of things...so a new guys pov almost always provides new insight...

@casa..yes i agree but its pretty difficult to know just what precisely is constructive casa....also imo almost all arguments are constructive as long as the involved people realize that the argument is for a purpose and whatever personal shit happens during the argument in the end we are all here because we like the mod and we say and do what we do because we wish to improve it...

ps: btw flex...err i saw somebody on death masters public cpma ca server called flex...was that you???? id like to play more cpma with e+ folks who're interested....would be fun

OMG ppl, for now it's only about removing MJ and reducing rail damage to 300, where did you get all the baseq3 comparisons and all other bs!?! The other config which will have other, more drastic changes, is completely separate thing - it will be created, tested, and if liked, it will stick around as an alternative...

I seriously cannot understand why are you so against at least TRYING these ideas out, WTF can be wrong with that?

Btw - i may be wrong, because i weren't here from the beginning, but weren't the whole BRO side of the community created around a config which introduced much more drastic changes?

did u read me what im worote abot spawnkiling or u dint?

if u change raill to 300dgm u still will be able to kill on spawn from bfg, rocket, grenade, shodgun, spawning enemy instantly.......

and if u make from rail 300dmg weapon and u will need to shot twice to enemy for kill, first shot wich will not kill enemy but will push yors target far away of u or drag him to corner same as its hapening now on freeze when u shot to spawning enemy, high power of weapon will knock him back for a long distance, that why all changes were needet, im expected from u more smarter position :roll:

I read it, of course.

I'm not saying a word about how to prevent/reduce/whatever spawn-kills because there are more competent ppl (like yourself or Mow) that can figure it out.

And all the other changes aren't needed Surprise so what the enemy will be pushed backwards... it's nothing really harcore, it will push you off balance, but it's not that nasty (tested w/ bots). So again, i don't think there is a need to amend this by so many changes.

Argh, HQ, seriously - i extensively played today on a config without MJ, with 2 hit RG (always 2 hit, not like Mow's proposition to make it 2 hit only if health = 300+ or with armor, i had my RG set to 280 damage)... it was only vs bots, so i can't say how would that work against living opponents, but i am eager to try.

The knockback from RG is really no big deal either, at least, IMO. It didn't bug me very much when bots shot me with RG...

As for the other config - the one you are mocking here ;p It's definitely not something like that Surprise i wouldn't want to reduce E+ into so slow paced fighting... just tone down some weaps, add power to others... balancing issues mostly (at least, that's how i see it).

for me pushing oponent to next room due to hit or locking it in corner and spam him out there are below what means fun in mine eyes

im cant acept stuff like this couse its step backward not forward, and as u propably do know hp999 was for purpose

It is *a little* similar to what i had in mind - minus the spammy PG (i only made it so, coz it looks cool Big grin), MG jumps (;d), no-so-freaky GL, non-homing rockets (;d)... lotsa shit more actually, i said, *a little* Happy

but the general idea sticks - having a way more tactical fight. Dunno how to accomplish that and keep the *excessive* spirit, but i'm sure Tar will look into it. Happy

And for the knockback - c'mon man, it's not really such a big deal. On plus cfg we have already weapons that can cause similar situations, rl, bfg, nades, massive mg spam... so you will be able to push someone with RG. It won't really make such a big difference, since most ppl will still get killed with one shot.
